What sweeteners are used in your high protein bars, and why do you use them?
We use a combination of thoughtfully chosen sweeteners, each for a specific reason, to balance taste, texture, and nutrition, especially in a high‑protein bar.
Erythritol is a low‑calorie sweetener that’s naturally found in some fruits and fermented foods. We use it because it provides sweetness without impacting blood sugar, and it’s very effective at helping keep sugar levels low in high‑protein products.
Sucralose is used in very small amounts to enhance sweetness where needed. It helps deliver a more familiar taste profile, especially when working with proteins, which can sometimes taste bitter on their own.
Each sweetener plays a role, and by using them in combination, we can keep sugar content low while still delivering a bar that tastes good and performs nutritionally.
All of the sweeteners we use are approved by food safety authorities and considered safe when consumed within normal dietary amounts. We continue to closely follow nutrition science and take ingredient safety seriously.
